What is Active Tracking?
Active Tracking is an advanced feature of the ProPlus service that enables real-time monitoring of vehicles on the MyGeotab map, providing accurate information about their location and immediate notifications based on predefined rules.
How does Active Tracking work?
Geotab uses a patented curve logic-based algorithm to record data on the GO device. Active Tracking increases the frequency of these recordings, ensuring rapid data transmission. In the absence of Active Tracking, data is only recorded when the buffer is full or when the engine is turned on, which can result in delays in transmitting information compared to vehicles that have this feature activated.
